HOW TO GET TO KNOW GOLF?

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE GAME?
The object of the game is playing a ball from the teeing ground into the hole on the putting green in the fewest possible number of strokes.It doesn´t matter whether your stroke is 200 metres long or 2 cm putt - it is still one stroke (point). The less strokes, the better result.
 

WHAT IS TEEING GROUND?
It is a starting place of the game.
 

WHAT IS GREEN?
It is a place round the hole with a special kind of grass on which the ball is moved to the hole by putter.
 

WHAT TO BRING?
Sportwear, sport shoes with a flat sole.
 

DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE CLUB?
Aby ste začali s golfom nemusíte byť členom klubu, na driving range môžete chodiť bez „Zelenej Karty“.
 

HOW LONG IS THE GAME ON THE DRIVING?
One basket of struck balls (48 pcs, it depends on your condition) with concentration for each stroke, excercises and instructions about 1/2 hour.
 

WHERE IS VEĽKÁ LOMNICA?
It is situated in the middle among the cities of Poprad-Kežmarok-Tatranská Lomnica.
 

WHAT IS A GREEN CARD?
To gain a certificate on exam for the green card you must complete the Golf School, manage long and short games, the game on the green and golf rules with etiquette. The certificate can be used on the course where it was issued after payment for the game (so called greenfee). To become a professional player and play on the tournaments you must enter one of the clubs or Asociáciu Mimoklubových Golfistov (AMG) in accordance with the rules of SKGA (top organization of Slovak Golf Community).
 

HOW LONG DOES THE SCHOOL TAKE?
12 hours with a trainer is enough and many hours of self – training and learning of rules. The exam takes 3 hours.
 

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF A MEMBERSHIP?
After payment of annual fee a member can play whithout any other fees. Members also have discounts on balls on the driving range and entrance to the club facilities which are reserved for members only. The club offers reciprocal discounts with other clubs in Slovakia as well as abroad. Mother´s club secures HCP for its members in the central register through internet and SKGA registration.
