The Lomnický golf club was founded on May 16, 1999. On June 18, 1999, the club grounds in the form of a temporary building and the driving range were ceremoniously opened. In the first year of its existence, the club focused on the training of juniors in its sports activities, who already represented our club at the Junior Championships of Slovakia in Košice in August 1999. On October 31, 1999, the first season was ceremoniously ended with the final autumn tournament.
In April 2000, we started the construction of a 9-hole natural golf course, which was opened on September 22, 2000. Five years later, play began on nine holes, to which another nine holes were added a year later, and in September 2007 another nine holes were opened. In 2011, the golf course received the prestigious A PGA Golf Course Quality Mark, becoming the 19th course in the world with this mark.
